About these Beans
Wood and Co say ‘ (we are) So stoked to be roasting coffee from the world famous JABANTO FARMERS group. They hail from Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia and are one of a few producer groups in Ethiopia really pushing the boundaries of processing. We have an Anaerobic processed lot from them consisting of Kurume, Dega and Wolisho varieties.
Anaerobic processing is similar to more traditional washed coffees with the exception of the fermentation taking place in an oxygenless environment. The fresh cherries are cleaned, sorted, then pulped. The beans are then placed in plastic barrels and “air locked” to create the right conditions for some full on fermentation. The result is a fruit punch like coffee tasting of Mango, Watermelon and Jasmine. Oh yeah this one is full summer vibes and will go down a treat hot or icy cold!
