About the Roaster – Floozy Coffee Roasting

Floozy’s goal is to promote and advance the women in coffee, showcase the talents of the ladies in the industry, and train up future generations of badass coffee chicks.

Floozy is based in Newcastle, Australia and they have a rad cafe called ‘Let’s be Besties’ at 398 King St.

About the beans:

Alexis’ father and grandfather were both coffee farmers and he was involved with production since he was a child. Alexis was lucky enough to inherit his grandfather’s farm, Finca El Zacundal, he has been running it now for a little over a decade and made the switch to specialty coffee.

 

He has plans to continue making changes that will improve quality on the farm. Some of his infrastructure such as his wet mill are the same that his grandfather used many years ago. With his plans to modernise these things his coffee will get better and better.
