About these Beans

Our first release for 2022 is a classic washed coffee from the Thunguri Coffee Factory. This coffee washing station is located in Kirinyaga County in Kenya’s Central Province.

Established in 1962, Thunguri rests on eight acres of nutrient rich land in the fertile foothills of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, 1,600m above sea level. It has 1,095 active contributing farmers, members of the Kibirgwi Cooperative Society, who live in the neighbouring villages of Kiamwe, Nguguini and Kiahiti.

THUNGURI is a beautiful washed coffee oozing flavours of Blackcurrant, Lemongrass and Toffee, just like a good classic Kenyan should.
