About the Roaster – Floozy Coffee Roasting
Floozy’s goal is to promote and advance the women in coffee, showcase the talents of the ladies in the industry, and train up future generations of badass coffee chicks.
Floozy is based in Newcastle, Australia and they have a rad cafe called ‘Let’s be Besties’ at 398 King St.

How do I dispose of the pods?
After usage, you can throw the Pod in your bin guilt free. Under the right industrial set conditions, they will fully break-down into compost. These Fat Poppy Pods are hermetically sealed, with a plant-based oxygen barrier to keep your coffee as fresh as possible. This means that the entire Pod can be chewed up, and spat out by our little microbial friends, leaving behind biomass, CO2 and water.
A word about the producer – Franci Barrera:
Franci is a third generation coffee farmer, she says she produces coffee because it’s all that she has ever known, Finca La Orquidea is the continuation of the Barrera family tradition. Her father Hernando, who has worked in coffee for his entire life, taught her about how to plant and care for coffee. Her mother, Olivia, taught her all about the post-harvest processes. The motivation to produce specialty coffee is both quality and finance driven.
