About the Roaster – Floozy Coffee Roasting
Floozy’s goal is to promote and advance the women in coffee, showcase the talents of the ladies in the industry, and train up future generations of badass coffee chicks.
Floozy is based in Newcastle, Australia and they have a rad cafe called ‘Let’s be Besties’ at 398 King St.
What is special about these beans?
Finca Cruz Loma is a family farm surrounded by vast virgin jungle with a diverse ecosystem. In fact, there has only been access to the farm for the past 50 years. Grace works mainly with her brother Galo, the farm is pretty new to coffee and Grace is interested in processing techniques and their affects on the flavour profiles of coffee.
Due to the humidity in the north-west of Pichincha, where the farm is located, honey and natural processes are a huge challenge, so the three different lots we have purchased represent a series of experiments undertaken by Grace and her family.
Fully Washed Process
Fermented for 24 hours with no water in covered tanks, then washed and dried in raised beds for 15-20 days.
